Joe Riley & Audrey Snyder

Joe Riley is an artist, historian, and PhD candidate in the UCSD Visual Arts Department and Scripps Institution of Oceanography’s Program in Interdisciplinary Environmental Research. His collaborative work with Audrey Snyder and the collective Futurefarmers has been exhibited at venues including Getty Pacific Standard Time, Clockshop, Socrates Sculpture Park, Artes Mundi 7, and Sharjah Biennale 13. Joe was an Ocean Fellow with TBA21-Academy’s Ocean Space, a participant in the Whitney Independent Study Program, Art & Law Program, and the Interdisciplinary Art & Theory Program. He holds a BFA from Cooper Union and has taught at UC San Diego, CalState San Marcos, Cooper Union School of Art, and Stevens Institute of Technology.

Audrey Snyder is an artist, chef, and educator in Southern California. Her engagement in these practices finds footing in seeds, soil, and sea life. Audrey received a BFA from the Cooper Union School of Art and an MS from the Lyle Center for Regenerative Agriculture, Cal Poly Pomona. She is a collaborator with the collective Futurefarmers, and alongside Joe Riley, she was a participant in the Fresh Kills Field R/D program, a fellow of the Socrates Sculpture Park Emerging Artist Fellowship, and a participant in the Interdisciplinary Art & Theory Program. In 2019, her project CAMPAGNA/CAMPANA/CAMPO was awarded first prize from the Rural Design Lab in San Potito Sannitico, Italy.
